I'd probably attempt to discuss current affairs IF i didn't know it made me sound less than ignorant. I would love to critic those individuals whom have offended me in some way or another, yet i've been taught not to use the internet as a tool for verbal abuse in any way. =) But for now, the highlights :

on family:
haven't seen them for awhile.. I miss everyone back home. =) and yay~ I'll be seeing them VERY VERY SOON :) Yet Jon bombarded me with some disappointing news. He wants to go home for GOOD, on the 16th of July. ='( fuck man .. I'm gonna miss him like hell. Things just won't be the same without having my brother around to give me endless nagging and encouragement. I guess that'll be the time I REALLY learn to be independent, huh?

on friends ( msia ) :
haven't met up with you guys in ages.. and I guess everyone's been busy with their work, that well .. I guess things btw me n everyone back home aren't as close as before? But certainly I'd expected this to happen, yet hopefully when i get back, things would be normal. :) whee~

(melbourne) :
things here are getting fanatastic. :D i've got people that brings laughter and stomachaches everyday. Each and every passing day will be dealt with new excitement, enjoyment and experience. With this group of friends, you'll bound to wind up banging your head onto the wall each day with the remarks that we make at one another each passing moment.

on school:
Whoever who said trinity was going to be a piece of cake is either :-
1) a complete genius
2) an idiot
I'm serious. Even though Australia is all about independence and all, good grades come with a price. whoops. correction: good grades come with a HIGH price.
Exams have been, extremely hard. Its not to say I didn't study, or didn't do my share of the work, but .... well . I think I screwed up on EAP. ( !@#$%) and definately MATHS. Oh god. The whole format changed, and i'll be amazed if i can actually get a few questions right. :S And hereby, I would not use the internet as a tool to vent my anger on a matter that made me end up with sleepless nights, looking like a wreck . :S

on university pathways:
I'm working towards it. This term has *herm* kinda got me up to study a whole lot more for the next term. No more skipping lectures. and tutorials- for the matter. And yep! I have already made up my mind for the various career paths i can persue after this arduous year. Even though I was pondering on whether or not to do Commerce Law, I've totally decided my mind. :) Law just isn't for me, well... not in Australia anyway! :) If I really wanna achieve on Law ( in the future's future ), i MIGHT just do it in UK. But right now? My mind is set: Commerce, is probably the one degree that I wanna excel in. Now... the only thing that's holding me back is.. : MY LAZINESS.

on living alone:
well, i'm not exactly alone, with Jonny here and all.. :) Things are going on well. I never thought I'd get used to the fact that I need to cook, wash, clean, iron and do everything myself, but will wonders never cease. I'm actually begining to adapt to this kinda lifestyle ( i mean, who wouldn't? After staying here for like what? 6 months?) And yeah, not to mention the fact that my apartment has lots of visitors everyday =P messing up this tiny place of mine. huuummpphh! :P but I love the company that my dear friends provide me. =) and cooking various dishes has been keeping me occupied ... don't be surprise if there's a Chef Mel Tan in the future. Lol - Although i seriously doubt so. :P

on love:
I admit that things were a bit rocky d last few days.. but things are much better now. :) At this stage, this is making me sigh in bliss. I hate to sound mushy, but hell yeah... Coming to Aus has made me a different person. It not only made me appreciate everyone back home n u boo, but it also made me express out my feelings more, as a whole. And trust me, love can make you do the most craziest things in a perfectly sensible manner. That, I'm sure, no one in love can dispute. After all, life isn't measured with the amount of breaths that you take, but the breaths that take you away...

Hmmm.... What have i got to say about today ? =D It has been , indeed a remarkable day. lol. With Garton being sick, and all my dear EAP friends going crazy. Mind you, that includes you-Charlyn. ESPECIALLY you in fact. hahaha but... first of all - haha thank you my dear Esther.. haha for the lovely PRESENT that, may i repeat, I ACTUALLY DESERVE!!!!!! hahah for you degrading me into such a low status. lol. We all were laughing like a bunch of idiots, and mind you, just a note : Esther makes a lovely punch bag. lol. Sue actually had to ask us to tone down a couple of times. Herm.. And as usual, Charlyn & Richmond were having their usual CAT fight. Somehow Richmond said something that pissed Char off and she threw him her jacket. Whoohoo. haha richmond wore it .. and .. herm, he looked fucking gay! hhaahaaha.. You see, char is petite in size ( i did not mention THE word ), haha and .. well .. richmond isn't that .. herm .. tall either. haah but trust me people, he looked seriously gayyyy .. hahaha .. :D kinda sad i didn't bring my camera in just to snap a few shots.. *damn*

things in trinity has been getting pretty fun these days, but yeah.. super busy. :) I'm very glad to have rina around with me all the time .. =) after reading mom's mail.. I'm wondering what do I wanna excel in right now.. in melb uni. perhaps i might even do a double degree, as it'll only take an extra year.. but i'm still not sure . yet.

went down to do some stuff today, and skipped classes, WITH mom's conscent! wheeee!! heheh and bought loadsss of stuff! =O hehe.. bought sze's and lu's stuff, bought mom a skirt, bought myself a pair of boots.. wheee!! :) finally! hehe and a couple of tops which i didn't even bother trying them on. haha sum earrings and such .. :S . Winter's officially here anyways.. so.. hahahah the weather's getting cold, and well . yeahh .. :)

And I'm getting to be very materialistic, which is actually a bad thing I guess. haha but yeah, its very tempting to get things all the time, especially when i'm staying in the city. :) hehe neweis, need to get my ass to work now. :( sighs.

Wow.. I haven't been posting for a looong time. Things here have been sooo freaking hectic that I wake up with migrains and hybernate with them these days. All in all, Trinity wasn't as easy as I thought it would've been. Assignments and presentations coming up like nobody's business, tasks and work piling up that I swear, if another one comes up I'm gonna faint!

Don't get me wrong- Trinity is a good college. Filled with lecturers that are *herm* extremely concern about you ( ranging from studies to your personal life ) , teaching styles that are somewhat different than Malaysian style, and of course, competition so keen that it makes your heart stop beating. Students have no doubt showed increasingly fantastic performances in tutorials and lectures that it kinda makes me stop and think- What the hell am I doing wasting my time? It actually kinda motivates you to study in a consistent rate, rather than the usual Malaysian Last Minute theory, which- I guess, is good. =S.

Anyway.... HIGHLIGHTS! hooobaa... the pictures below show the recent BIG events that kinda happened in Trinity AND outside Trinity. BIG NOISE - the ones where me and my friends were in the bandanas was an extremely fantastic night filled with togetherness and FUN FUN FUN! all 500 of us Trinity-ians gathered around the Bulpadock and did our thang! ( The playing of d Brazilian instruments ) and it was hell fun! hehe my group's name was "Whatever" and during our "break time", we actually did a CHICKEN DANCE. and trust me, it was hillarious- AND BAD. haha but eveyrone was cheering.. haha there were tonnes of chicken dances though .. :( The super cool one was the Chicken Clock dance as well and another one .. :S .. we even had an intermission time whereby everyone started dancing and singing .. :) The event ended quite fast.. bout an hour and a half? but I know everyone had stacks of fun. :) After that, me, nana, lye, n tasha adjourne to Nelayan for dinner, later meeting up with Saf as well. The 5 of us den actually went to the Cemetery! Bahh .. they're crazy man . Sadly, it was closed. And there was a time where Lye actually scared the hell outta the 4 of us. Jeez. :S

Another event- Liz's bday party. Didn't take much pictures. And I deleted most of them from my computer already.. Taking up too much space.. :S . hehe AND .. omy omy .. haha SATURDAY NIGHTS EVENT!!! Holllaaaa..! heheh it was FUCKING GOOD! hahaahahahaha those that went knows why .... ;) heheh The main Highlight of the day was Emil and Kyle. Kyle for his singing and the free cd giveaways that pearlyn and saf manage to get. And Emil.. Emil.. Emil just for being Emil! lol :P Emil's a partime model, and he'll become a full time model soon. =) And .. hehe we got his number.. hollaaa! hehehe :P It was a really good night though .. :) And eyyy .. its been 10 weeks since i last went clubbing.. And I really needed something to de-stress myself alrite?! :P But before clubbing, everything was a rush! Na came to my place to do work, and we went to KFC for dinner .. for about 2 hours. Just talking. Liz and Ryan came along and we accompanied them for dinner.. Later rushing back to my place so that I could change. :S . And we walked alllllll the way back to Palmerston ( and I was in my heels.. damnit. ) Anyway.. after clubbing we went to McDs for some food.. but me, tasha and pearlyn went home first.. we tried getting a taxi for bout.. 45 minutes but failed miserably. As if it wasn't bad enough.. we walked ALL the way BACK. :O . in our HEELS. except Pearlyn though .. cuz she was in her sport shoes and she was drunk. =S Got home about 4 in de morning, and chatted with Lucinda until 7am.. wheeee.. I miss her soooo much!!!!!!!! =(

Baby's in Phil now.. =( Boohoohoo. We don't get to communicate much these days.. and he'll be gone for 10 freaking days. =( I miss my boo boo.. =( syg.. get back fast OR ELSE!!!!! :D and to make matters worse, Jon's back in Malaysia during this period too! :( Boohoohoo. Not to say that I've been talking to him with Kristi here the whole time. :S But still.. now I have to cook myself everynight . hmph. haha and eyyy .. my cooking is nice.. not fantastic.. but still nice. edible. hahaha. Serious! =D

Disappointment rushes through me as I now knew what I wasn't suppose to know. Anger only comes rushing through later, without hesitation. Anger on myself, on that person. Period. Just utter disappointment finalizes this fantastic experience. I show you gratitude as I now know what type of person you've become, before it has been too late. =) You see, I'm not filled with hatred...yet.

Anyways, things in Aust have been fantastic so far. :) Begining to enjoy it more and more each day. Though, I do admit I'm actually skipping a lecture writing this. =p Don't blame me, I woke up a weeny bit too late. * damn alarm clock * Plans have been set to go here and there... to our little "excursion". hehehe the day before yesterday was kinda tiring, went to the city with jon, came back and to bridge road ( again! ) with joy, yun ann, rashmi. Later at night, went to birra-bella for a drink with saf, rina, lai, nat and pearlyn. Enclosed are the pics we took that nite as well.. =)

Yesterday.. woke up super late and went to Melb Central for lunch with Jon. Got my Vodafon simcard as well ..yep people, I've currently changed my Aussie number.. wouldn't be too appropriate putting it up here.. so just message me online and I'll give it to you .. ( and to my dear fairytalers..I've already given it to a certain few of u guys .... ) =) Met up with Siti to get the white t-shirt for Friday's Big Noise.. and then later on with the whole drama group to get the "remaining of the oufit " . Big Noise is this event whereby all February Intake students would be playing a brazillian instrument and make the loudest noise ever in the Bulpadock. :) Its pretty cool actually .. we've been taught some simple Copoeira dance steps and we're using all those instruments.. Very interesting event . :) Can't wait! :) Later up at night, had dinner with my cousin in Shark Fin House...this cousin........ whom I haven't seen for 8 years! :O Nothing much has changed though .. still the same ol' same ol' ..Melb's getting very cold nowadays.. Me n Jon practically shivered throughout the whole time walking home... :S . and we were already wearing long sleeves! :S ..

I haven't entirely been having a fantasticka week as a lot of problems have occured. Funny thing is, not when I'm in Melbourne, but just problems within people themselves. Personally, I don't wanna comment much on what i think, cause as far as I'm concern, it doesn't concern anyone or anything. And I've learned to keep my mouth s-h-u-t when things go haywire.. You see, people starts getting the wrong impression of others when they just judge a book by its cover. And trust me, I know how do people get when they start bitching bout each other. In other words, backstabbing. Cause not only do I do it, everyone does.

Now, let me straighten this out: tonnes and tonnes of people have backstab each other for their own personal benefits. But this is only human nature. To protect ourselves, to not let ourselves get hurt in the process of learning in life. But at the very same time, we'd want to make sure that whoever we're stabbing won't find out. But lets face reality: Word gets around, and eventually, you'll know the truth. And yes, the truth hurts. It could be your best friend- the person you trusted most in the whole entire world that'll end up doing that to you, or it could even be one of your siblings! so people, bare in mind that the person you can trust most, is no other than yourself.

I'm not saying all of these because I've been betrayed, I have not. Thank God. =) Another thing i'd like to touch about is .. assumptions. Personally and logically, I'd hate it when people just jump to conclusions on certain stuff, without checking out the details., especially when it has someting to do with yours truly. You know.. one thing i'd never admitted is i actually admire people with courage to ask you .. to be frank with everything. ( well not all the time lahh.. till it hurts .. ! prrrriaaaanggggg!! ) At certain circumstances, I know I WONT like it if people are soo frank, but sometimes, its so much better than just assuming and spreading stuff around. :S But thats just my opinion. And I guess spreading things around.. is all just human nature. Yes, I admit even I do that myself. I can't help it. =S

And sometimes, when things get outta hand, I don't think I wanna go find a way to explain myself anymore. Its tiring and yep, useless. I don't see why I have to clarify things, I don't see what outcome can it bring, only hurt and anger in both parties.

Things in aus are getting better now =) Have been hanging out with friends for the wholleeee weekend! :) Shopping, chilling, studying... and the list goes on. :) However, there were a misunderstandings that actually caused some unhappy moments during the whole week . =( Unfortunately.

Perhaps he shouldn't be in the picture of our misunderstandings. Perhaps i shouldn't be so close to him. Perhaps I shouldn't even butt in to people's problems. Perhaps I shouldn't be so negative towards the trust between us. I shouldn't have let what he said affect me. That actually proves how strong the relationship actually is i supposed. On the other hand, I'm sorry I'm not expressing out or telling out so much of what has actually been bothering me. I have never ever been a person who express out what I am actually thinking, nor what I actually feel about a certain matter. And I'm truely sorry that to me, trust doesn't come easily. :S

Today's a public holiday!! *cheers* Anzac Day. Woke up late, online, went to meet Ker Hui, had Max Brenners * yum yum yum!!*. After that met up with Rina and Ryan in Starbucks along Lygon for our study session. Mmmm .. I really need to start studying. As in seriously. People here are so competitive that you'd actually be left behind if you don't study. :s Major difference compared to Malaysians. :P hehehe

hehe today.. finished classes at 315.. dropped my stuff back home with Rina. I'm back in Melbourne already.. Classes have begin.. I'm in the middle of lunch, doing nothing.. so decided to just pop down the blog, something i've kinda neglected recently... due to the many exciting things back in KL. =) Life's been a bliss, especially when you've met up with people you've been wanting to meet up with for such a long time.. =) The sense of longing will always remain... kekeke especially when you've got the right right crowd!!! =)

The 2 whole weeks in Malaysia have been nothing but fun, fun, fun! I know I've not been able to spend time with each and everyone back home, but I promise I'll try harder the next time alrite?! :) Neweis.. the first few days was nothing but, hibernating and trying to spend time with my family members.. then came Friday.. hehe The " Suprising Fairytalers Day" =) hehe I know this is no longer the first trip I've frightened them .. but trust me .. everyone's expressions was so funny!!! =) You know how hard is it to keep a "secret", when there are just too much resistance and temptations to tell out??!! hehe but yep... han, thian, jamie, jhwa were suprised... :) Me n teng had already plotted it throughout a few weeks.. had a small chit-chat with them in BK along with lucinda, xue zhang, edward etc. Sadly, thian n jamie had to leave after 15 minutes and han had to go for a party. :S Oh well. Then came sunday.. which was Old Souls Day. Went back to Jasin, Melacca for some prayers and rushed back as Fabes was already waiting.. :S * sorry dear .. * But was caught up in a massive massive jam that even Dad was complaining. Reached home 3 and a half hours later, which was actually kinda amazing as the usual estimated time to reach home was only 1 and a half hours. Such jams can really kill people's patience. =S Anyways.. after that showered and fabes came over =) Met dad and had a small chit-chat, as mom was in the shower. We took the car out and had dinner + watched House of Fury. Funny movie. Was just glad spending time with him.. after so long! :)

After that we went to pick Jess n Jian Sheng up and fabes drove to Lagoon. :P hehe had stacks of fun there with my few friends and then Su had to go back as it was her mom's bday. :S Lucinda n Pek San joined us for dinner. And yeah.. this was the day where I made Jon really really disappointed over my Australian Phone bill... which turned out to be .. XXX. =S Never could I imagine that my bill would turn out to be such a large large sum. and yes, I am amazed with my "ability" to text and call without hesistance. I really have to learn how to curb.. as an international SMS cost 95 cents Msian, and 35 cents Aus! :S *sighs*. After dinner, me, fabes, jess and js squeezed into Lucinda and Pek San's car. Went over to Jessica's house to chit chat with her mom and Sharon for awhile before heading home. Part of me was kinda dreading to go home as I don't know what was gonna happen with the phone bill thingie by my parents. :S But it turned out all well!! =) Dad just required an explanation and he said that he's very disappointed with me.. but other than that.. things were alrite. *phew* I promise, I'll curb this time. I'll not simply call or sms just for fun. Or just cause I'm bored. :S

5/4 Waited for fabes to come to my place and my aunt dropped us off outside Kemayan ATC. Had lunch with Robyn and Marc. Was a little late due to the traffic diversion.. *sorry* :P *smiles sheepishly*. After that Rob and Marc had to go back for classes.. and me n fabes just went to Sg. Wang. The both of us kinda had a slight misunderstanding.. but everything was settled later. Thank god. :) Had a family dinner that night in Bangsar's Fu You. And yep.. bought the DVDs we all wanted ;) You guys know what I'm talkin bout ;) !

Went up to Genting with fabes.. keke had a marvellous time up there. ;) Went to the theme park and wanted to try out the Fun Karts but it was raining and we kinda just walked off. :S Nothing much .. ;) kekeke and yeah .. Happy Birthday Meng Fai, Mary, and Wilson! :) Came home and sent Fabes back to change while we "ta pao-ed" food for my nanny and two aunts. Julian and Robin seems to have gotten BRAINWASHED by dear fabes! :S Grrr.. heheeh Jess would know what i'm talking about. Watched Sponge Bob Square Pants the movie with fabes, jess, julian and robin. Those two kids seem to be addicted to Sponge Bob. :S

9/4 -10/4
Went for the ICC concert with fabes, lucinda and pek san. after that just went to Strawberry Cafe for food. hehe had a great time with the three of them .. just laughing and joking around. ;) After that lu and san sent me n fabes back to my house.. continued playing with my two cousins. ;) fabes den followed me n my family for a family dinner. Came home and waited for teng, han, n tong to come. Jhwa suprised me by showing up as well!! :P grrr.. had a fantastic talk with the three of them while watching a movie.. later on we just stopped the movie n talked till the wee hours of the morning. teng didn't sleep while i fell asleep at 6, and han fell asleep for half an hour. :) Originally we wanted to go for Dim Sum in the morning .. but failed. :P heheh went to Paramount to look for jhwa instead and had breakfast together, before heading to Jhwa's house for a few picture taking sessions ;) After that Jhwa sent fabes back to his aunt's place and sent me home. Dunc later picked Fabes up and me n my dear bro send baby boo to the airport. I was sooooo tired that i just fell asleep on his lap. :S * sorry dear ... * :( Sending him off the airport was a sad expererience.. =( cuz I won't be seeing him for a long time... =( * like .. uhm.. 3 mths? * sighs.

Gonna start writing back like the old days. No more in point form . :) Things have been pretty good here, pretty blissful. Well, except the fact that i've been online , going out, on the phone, experimenting with dishes... and NOT studying. Exams are on tuesday~!!! Ahhhh~~!!! Thank goodness its just Lit and Maths 1. (breaths a sigh of relief)

Just a few days ago, I have been pretty down over certain matters. Thank goodness i've sorted out things.. =) And yea, I guess it also has a fact that sometimes I'm just being too hard on myself. =S I'm really thankful that the people around me has always been concern and being able to tolerate + give nonstop encouragement and support throughout my whinings, bitchings and mood swings. =/ Kinda realised that this was not the way to behave, especially when one has already turned 18 years old!

Resistance on doing things you've never done before seems to be tempting all the time, especially when you've got no control held back. I guess its up to one's maturity and discipline to hold you back at times. =) And no, I've not started smoking or having illicit sex, nor have i done drugs, and I have totally NO intentions on starting so. Although sometimes there is a tendency for 'wanting' to try. And no, it has nothing to do with peer pressure either. =] But I do admit that i'm begining to feel that college life overseas, especially when you're having all your friends staying so near you, you'll never feel alone. Yet, you can also get totally totally sick of a certain number of them. Its disgusting you'd feel, getting to know that person wayyy too much. Spending wayyyy too much time together, that you'll feel that everyone seems to have the impression you guys are the closest of friedns, or rather, the ones that complete each other. =/ I mean, after all, we do learn about complementary objects in Economics. However, I do believe that each individual should have their own space and freedom.

I really love my brothers. They're the best brothers anyone could ever wish for. Back in Malaysia, my eldest brother would always assure that i had transport to go and come back from a certain place; and he'll always buy me dvds that he reckons i'd like. Spending little moments like this with Dunc is really much missed. Especially the times where we'll "steal" mom's car to go galivanting for piracy. Jon, on the other hand, whom is a completely different character from Dunc, is another fantastic brother. His endless caring and love just makes you feel that you're the luckiest girl ever to have such brothers. Not to mention the dissing and the fun i always get when we're out for lunch or dinner, and sometimes shopping. I just love my brothers to bits. They're always there whenever i need them.

Have been on the phone with him almost every single minute of the day when i'm not online or out. He's such a sweet and fantastic guy. The relationship between us is different now.. And yes dear, I do thank you profusely for tolerating with my mood swings in the past few days. hehe not everyone can stand it when you get a one word answer after asking such long questions, but you could. =) Thank you for the encouragement b. ;)

Lucinda, Robyn, Fairytalers, Hau Wen... you guys are definately my best best friends of all times. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING THERE WHEN I NEEDED SOMEONE TO TALK TO! =) And dada hoon, please.. take care of yourself girl.. You really don't want Mel to worry all the time right? ( unless you want her to get wrinkles and white hair really fast, then go ahead! :P ) Don't be a person that's deprived from sleep, and yes, I know.. you've got tonnes of work to do.. but your health is equally as important okay!!! Rob, I know i've been a pain in the neck sometimes by going on BRB modes when we're talking, but girl.. from what you're going through now, I believe that you'll always be strong. hehe when I get back we've got some asses to kick girl!!!! :) My dear fairytalers.. hehe nv fear, Mel will be back with Happy Tree Friends next time!! Today's a very very tiring and painful day.

Woke up and cooked burgers for me n jon,
